This summer, The Saint John’s Bible Heritage Program has completed some exciting updates to its website in an effort to expand its vision of igniting the spiritual imagination of communities across the world.
Summers can get pretty busy for a lot of folks, so if you haven’t noticed some of our changes, here’s what you missed:
New Video Gallery
You’ve seen the photos online, and maybe you’ve been lucky enough to view the work in person, but now, you can view videos of The Saint John’s Bible Heritage Edition as it is loved, analyzed, shared, and used as a vehicle for spiritual exploration in communities across the world.
From an introduction to the Heritage Edition; a live capture of a performance of Handel’s Messiah being performed at St. Martin-in-the-Fields in London, England, with a glorious projection of an illumination behind the choir; the very moment that nurses and night colleagues at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, Idaho, witnessed the Heritage Edition for the first time; and more, there isn’t a single story you’ll want to overlook in our new video gallery.

Interactive Guide to the Heritage Edition
With its seven volumes, 160 major illuminations, and 1,165 handwritten pages, The Saint John’s Bible is truly a work of biblical proportions (pardon the pun). While impressive in its scale, imagination, and stunningly rich detail, its sheer enormity can be imposing; it’s hard to not feel like you’ve missed something.
For this reason, we have created a thoughtful companion document to help guide and contextualize your engagement with this masterwork. The intent of this document is to raise questions, invite thoughtful reflection, and draw attention to specific details, passages, and illuminations that demand extra attention. This helpful guide, however, is just that: a guide. The deeply moving and singular experience of engaging with The Saint John’s Bible should be as intimate and personal as you’d like, and every bit as unique as the book itself.
