The University of Portland has been one of the most active and creative keepers of the Heritage Edition. Each year, the university presents new Saint John’s Bible-related events to students, staff and the Portland community.

This year, the University’s Garaventa Center for Catholic Intellectual Life & American Culture and department of music will celebrate “Woman of the Book.” The event includes the world premieres of sacred art songs by composers Cynthia Gerdes and Michael Connolly, as well as traditional pieces inspired by the faithful, feisty women of the Book. The Historical Books volume of The Saint John’s Bible will be on display.

All are invited to the celebration on Thursday, February 22, at 7:30pm, in Chapel of Christ the Teacher, at University of Portland.
