To The Ends of The Earth

“To the Ends of the Earth” is an illumination you will find on the very last page of the Gospels and Acts volume of The Saint John’s Bible. This view of planet earth was inspired by the Apollo 8 mission, when astronauts Frank Borman, William Anders, and Jim Lovell circled the moon on Christmas Day 1968.

Fast forward 49 years to Christmas Day 2017. A giclee print of that same illumination orbited Earth with a little help from NASA flight engineer retired Col. Mark Vande Hei. Col. Vande Hei, a Saint John’s University graduate, began his five-month journey in space on the International Space Station on September 12, 2017.
