The Hill Museum and Manuscript Library (HMML) at Saint John’s University is home to the original manuscript of The Saint John’s Bible. HMML’s mission is “to preserve and share the world’s handwritten past to inspire a deeper understanding of our present and future.”

On Christmas Eve, 60 Minutes aired Leslie Stahl’s interview of Fr. Columba Stewart, OSB, HMML’s executive director, and Father Najeeb Michaeel, a Dominican friar from Iraq. The segment, “Delivered from Evil,” was shot on location in northern Iraq, and focused on the quest by HMML and others to preserve ancient manuscripts in sacred sites destroyed and desecrated by ISIS.
